When he is not at home relishing the role of loving father and husband, Anthony Thompson is leading the Inside Sales Team at River Run that works closely with our valued clients.
Anthony is celebrating his third anniversary with River Run in August and truly feels blessed to have joined the team in an inside sales role in 2019.
“I came from a great organization that I loved, Bartolotta Restaurant Group, at a time when I was looking to further my career in IT. I made great friends there, and as I moved to River Run, I was thrilled to continue working with them as they became a valued client of River Run.”
Having essentially “grown up” in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Anthony loves to put on his chef hat for family, friends, and River Run teammates. He brought his prize-winning chili back to our annual Chili Cookoff that resumed in 2022. Being a master griller, Anthony cooks up some of his best concoctions for River Run’s team events (although we have not had his world-famous BBQ ribs yet!).
Along with being a culinary aficionado, Anthony is an avid sports fan and outdoorsman. He loves taking trips with his friends and family. Just a few weeks ago, he enjoyed an extended camping trip with his wife, two young girls, and dog (word on the street is the dog may not be invited to the next camping excursion).
In addition, Anthony loves to talk Bucks, Brewers, and Packers. “I am actually getting the chance to see the Packers play Washington this year as I have a good friend out there who invited me. It will be the trip of a lifetime for me to see the Packers play on the road.”
In 2021, Anthony was promoted to be the Inside Sales Team leader and joined the River Run LEAD Team that stands for Leadership, Empowerment, Accountability, Development.
Anthony reports to Jessica Smith, Executive Director of Sales. She shared, “Anthony is such a great employee and an even better person. He comes to work each and every day with a positive attitude and a desire to help his team, everyone here, and our clients. It was an easy decision to move him into a leadership role and it is impressive to see how he continues to grow into it.”
River Run is grateful to have Anthony on our winning team. We cannot wait to see what he cooks up next to take the client experience to the next level.
