The core of the PaperLESS™ Office concept is that your primary file in every matter is a complete, well-organized, up-to-the-minute electronic file containing everything about that matter or client, whether sent or received, created or copied, in one easy to manage and (ideally) remotely accessible location.
This is accomplished by quickly and easily scanning everything that comes into the office, so that there is never a backlog of documents that are not yet filed. Mail is scanned into the appropriate folder as the envelopes are opened, or scanned and handed back to the client or customer on the spot. Documents that must be kept in original paper form can be filed away for safekeeping or sent on to your client. If there is ever a question of which file is complete, it should always be your electronic file.
