Even if you don't own one yourself, most of you know somebody who has a Blackberry. Although it's no longer the only method of accessing your email on the go, with 160 competitors such as Windows Mobile, Palm and the iPhone, there were still about 12 million subscribers who were without service for a few hours last month.

Research in Motion (RIM), the company that manufactures Blackberrys, had their service go down for a few hours, sending users into a panic. The issue has been resolved, and RIM assured it's customers that no messages were lost, and voice and text messaging services were not affected.
