Windows Live Mesh Opens Up To The Public

Microsoft has made it's Live Mesh service available to the public after a few months of testing in private beta, but many folks seem a little unsure what it is and what it will do for them. In its simplest form, the service allows you to create web folders that you can share with others - but it goes much further than that. You can create and use the folders without installing the software, but if you do install it then you can add your devices (currently your PC's, and eventually Macs and mobile devices) to your "mesh". This will allow you to easily synchronize information between those devices and even connect to the devices over the web using Remote Desktop.
