River Run Computers has assisted clients for over 10 years on how and where to recycle their equipment. In the past, we have connected our clients with IndependenceFirst to help them out. IndependenceFirst only has a need for working equipment. They incur a cost if a third party recycler picks up non usable goods.
In an effort to extend services to our clients, River Run Computers partnered with a local Recycler. They will pick up our clients equipment for free (many places charge for this service), deliver working equipment to IndependenceFirst and recycle non-working equipment following EPA and E-Cycle Wisconsin regulations that ensure environmental safety.
What can we recycle?
Desktop computers, Desktop printers, Video Monitors, fax machines, DVD players, VCRs, DVRs and other video players, computer peripherals including keyboards, mice, hard drives, scanners, speakers, flash drives, external modems and other devices.
How much will it cost me?
There is no charge for the service unless you want a hard drive physically destroyed.
Do you remove data from hard drives?
Yes. We offer two types of services for data removal. 1) Wipe the Hard drive – Our partner will wipe the drive clean by using a magnetic device or software removal method. 2) Destroy the Hard drive – Our partner will physically destroy the drive, so it can no longer be used.
What do I need to do to have our equipment picked up?

How long will it take until my equipment is picked up?
Please allow a 15 business day lead time before your equipment is picked up. You'll receive an email confirmation with a pick up window time frame.
