All it takes is one person to make a difference - Bring Your Electronics!

**River Run Computers Electronic Recycle Day** Saturday, April 21st (10am - 2pm)

On Saturday, April 21st (Earth Day Weekend). River Run Computers presents: Electronic Recycle Day, sponsored by DP Electronic Recycling and benefiting IndependenceFirst.

River Run Computers introduces Electronic Recycle Day to help the local community with Responsible Recycling and to help people with disabilities. According to the WI Department of Natural Resources, electronics are one of the fastest growing parts of the waste stream, with millions of devices discarded each year in the United States. This event will deliver a positive impact on our local environment and benefit people with disabilities.  This is our inaugural event and we plan to continue this for years to come.

River Run Computers has helped IndependenceFirst for a number of years to help source used computer equipment. IndependenceFirst has over 20 different programs for people with disabilities including a program for Computer Refurbishing. They accept donated business and personal computers, refurbish them and give them to people with disabilities in the community who otherwise couldn't afford to purchase their own PC. Computer skills are useful for pre-employment skill building, information gathering, social networking, email and peer support.

Please practice Responsible Recycling. Donate your old electronic equipment and help people with disabilities be more independent.
