Systems Engineer Summary:
Provide phone support, network support, server support, workstation support, and general technical support to multiple clients. Also perform hardware and software installations on a user and network level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Duties and Responsibilites
- Review clients computer systems, make recommendations, maintain client networks
- Technology related issues related to the computer infrastructure of an organization
- Review, update, and backup systems
- Replace and upgrade hardware
- Build servers
- Install and configure operating system
- Design networks
- Troubleshoot data communications
- Manage renewals
- Install and configure printers
- Data recovery
- Configure, and maintain LAN servers and workstation
- Investigate hardware problems and perform minor system hardware and communication connection repairs
Customer Service Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot hardware / software
- Report issues to clients and document findings
- Provide phone and remote support
- Work with all levels from end user to user to CEO’s of clients to resolve issues and plan for future
- Provide server support including support of Windows, Novell, and Linux/Unix servers
- Workstation support including support of Microsoft Windows (all versions), Microsoft Office (all versions), and all other desktop/workstation applications as defined by client needs
- Network support including support of all brands of network equipment and all types including switches, hubs, routers, firewalls, network interface cards, network cabling and infrastructure, etc
- Document creation and updating for clients as well as internal projects
- Development of disaster recovery, and best practices

Education, Certificates/License
